      Training on Television Digital Transition kicks off
.said lays foundation for smooth transition

CTIT:-The International Telecommunications Union (ITU) consultants are providing second round training on Television Digital Transition for Ethiopians at the College of Telecommunications and Information Technology (CTIT).

The Ethiopian  Broadcasting Authority has organized and coordinated it .

opening the training here on 15 September 2011 , Ethiopian Broadcasting Authority  Mass Media Expansion  Work Process  Director , Ayalew Getaneh said that such Training  would definitely help the media in the country  undertake its transition from analogue to digital technology skillfully and systematically .



More over, it has a lot to do with enhancing the capacity  professionals  in laying foundation for smooth transition, he added.

Current TV market conditions, Digital Switch Over Objectives, roadmap phases, and top 10 choices, were some of the issues to be focused in the deliberation.

Licensed TV broadcasters and concerned governmental and non governmental agencies are reportedly taking active part in the training that commences for five consecutive days.

Communication and Information Technology Minister, Ethiopian Radio and Television Agency  and Brigetech Broadcasting Media PLC  and the authority have  sponsored the training.
