Mauritius: - The Ethiopian Broad Casting Authority (EBA) took part in the 7th Annual General Meeting of the Association of Regulators of Information and Communication of Eastern and Southern Africa (ARICEA).
Representing the Authority Ato Desta Tesfaw, Director General of the Authority and Ato Wubayehu Worku, Coordinator of plan and organizational Reform Team have participated in the meeting .
ARICEA, established in Addis in the year 2003, is an Association for Telecommunications and Broadcasting Regulators of the member states. It not only provide occasional platforms for member states but also promotes exchange of ideas and experiences among members on Information and Communication regulations and related aspects. By doing soARICEA promotes the sustainable development and application of efficient, adequate, and cost effective ICT networks, and services in the sub-region.
The meeting primarily discussed and ratified the Mid Term Work Plan (2011-2015) of ARICEA that outlined the progresses made by ARICEA in promoting policy harmonization in the sub-region. More... |
