EBA meets the media on performance

EBA:- The Ethiopian Broadcasting Authority(EBA) held on 4 august ,2011   a press conference   with the local media at its conference hall .
Briefing journalists  on  the Authority’s  2003E.C budget year plan performance , Mulugeta Sisaye , head Public Relations Coordination Unit said that the aim of the conference was to   bring transparency and accountability by announcing the public  about the  performance of the  EBA.
According to him  the authority has undertaken, in line with the GTP,   lots of  media related activities .
licensing  community radios , collecting broadcasters fee  ,handling suggestions and complaints , getting registered radio waves , monitoring and inspecting the media,  capacity building and training   were   just some of  our  achievements , he said and went on to state that these would  be undertaken in an organized fashion in the coming year too.
Noting that the formulation of directives on public radio and  TV licensing , TV and radio program record handling ,  directive  on mass media and related commercial sectors professional competence  requirements    will  help boost  the expansion of the mass media in Ethiopia , he said  all concerned bodies need to work smoothly  and jointly to the effective implementation .

 News reporters drawn from  ETV, AAMMA, ENA, EPA, Addis Admas and Awramba Times  have reportedly attended the press conference.
