Addis Ababa: - The Ethiopian Broadcasting Authority presented here Wednesday its 9 month performance report to the council of House of Peoples Representatives (HPRs).
Authority Activities in relation to the reform, Mass Media Expansion, Inspection and Support, Information & Public Relations, Human Resource Management and Development, Finance & Property Administration were presented to the House’s Culture, Tourism and Mass Media Standing Committee by Desta Tesfaw, Authority General Director.
the fact that the Authority has based its performance mainly on its five year strategic plan, has piloted BSC, built the capacity of its workers, implemented workers code of conduct, registered radio waves, and undertaken monitoring and inspection activities shows its strength, Committee’s chairman hon. .W/ro Rabya Esa reiterated adding However that issues relating to enacting various standards and manuals, creating change agents, handling environmental protection and disabilities issues , collecting broadcasting fee , creating awareness on broadcast complaints and suggestion yet need to be resolved.
